Enabling Stakeholder Participation and Applied Research in Policy Comprehension to Mainstream Climate Resilient Agro-farming Practices in National Climate Agenda
South Asia, home to a quarter of the world's population, faces significant challenges, including the highest regional Global Hunger Index and a very low Human Development Index. Alarmingly, 36% of children under the age of five exhibit stunted growth, indicating chronic undernutrition, while 16% are wasted, reflecting low weight for height. In this context, the adoption of climate-resilient agriculture becomes imperative for food security. However, efforts are often fragmented and poorly implemented, failing to effectively address the complexities of climate change and the associated vulnerabilities that exacerbate food insecurity and health issues in the region.
